Cebu Pacific Air, the country's largest national flag carrier, hold the most number of passengers carried to and fro Davao in this 2nd quarter of the year, gaining 44.4% of the local market share in the Philippines. In comparison with other airliners, CEB flew at least 130,000 more basing on the figure 318,694 (from www.cebupacificair.com). Having 85% load factor from April to June 2011.
Additionally, CEB operates the most number of flights, routes & seats and flies the most number of passengers to & fro the country's 2nd largest city, Cebu. With Manila, it flies the most wide network with 30 domestic destinations in the Philippines.
According to Candice Iyog, the CEB VP for Marketing & Distribution; “Cebu Pacific saw a lot of record-breaking figures from April to June this year, and now we offer the most routes and flights to and from Davao, as well as flying the most passengers. We will continue offering our trademark low fares to further stimulate travel and trade in Southern Philippines, with Davao as the main hub,”
CEB will be increasing the daily services of flights from Manila to Davao, it will be 7x daily starting October 1, 2011. Adding one service flight by October 7, 2011 to make it 8x daily. While for Cebu-Davao-Cebu service will also be increased from 24x weekly to 28x starting October 14, 2011.
Now, CEB is considered as the largest carrier in the country's air transportation industry that offer low-costs services to lots of destinations and routes, considering with higher flight frequency in comparison with the other airlines of the country.
